“Fragile” – GRACEY veröffentlicht neue EP

Schon mit ihren Singles “the internet“ und “What A Waste“ konnte GRACEY zeigen, wie ihre Musik Fans bewegen kann – zum einen emotional, zum anderen physisch. Ihre Songs laden zum Tanzen aber auch zum Weinen ein. Eine gewagte Mischung, die die 23-jährige Künstlerin für sich perfektioniert hat. Dieses einmalige Talent zeigt GRACEY nun auch in ihrer neuen EP “Fragile“, in der sie wieder einmal instant Ohrwürmer mit extremer Verletzlichkeit kombiniert.
Sie selbst zeigt sich aufgeregt und glücklich zugleich über ihren neuesten Release und sagt in einem Statement: “I’m so excited!! To be honest, I wasn’t anticipating on writing and releasing an EP this year, especially not one this heartbreaking and personal (…shout out to my recent break up), but as I started writing, I found it cathartic addressing my recent experiences and emotions and it all came together so naturally. I thought about how putting these songs out into the world it, regardless of how scary it feels right now, might actually make someone else in a similar headspace to feel a little more heard and understood, which is the whole reason I wanted to be an artist to begin with.”
“Fragile” enthält neben drei anderen Songs den Track “Sad Song“, ein, wie der Name schon andeutet, persönlicher und trauriger Song über das Hinwegkommen einer vergangenen Liebe. Als Inspiration für diesen Track galt ein Zusammentreffen mit GRACEYs Ex-Freund mit einer neuen Frau an seiner Seite: “It’s about the time I saw my ex getting with a new girl, and got in an Uber home that happened to be blasting ‘I Got A Feeling’ by the Black Eyed Peas, which felt like a cruel, ironic prank. I basically sat in the back feeling like a loser, crying and desperately searching for my headphones in need of heartbreak huns Joni Mitchell and Adele.”. GRACEY schafft es wieder einmal ihre Emotionen so nah und ungefiltert zu veranschaulichen, sodass Fans den Schmerz nachfühlen können.
