LL Cool J bekommt ASCAP Golden Note Award!

Die American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers (ASCAP) ehrt LL Cool J bei ihren 19. Rhythm & Soul Music Awards. Am 26. Juni werden bei diesem Anlass im Beverly Hilton Hotel in Los Angeles diejenigen Songwriter und Künstler geehrt, deren Songs in den R&B, Rap und Hip-Hop Charts des Jahres 2005 am meisten abgeräumt haben. LL Cool J wird mit dem ASCAP Golden Note Award ausgezeichnet – eine Ehrung für Songwriter und Komponisten, die außerordentliche Meilensteine in ihrer Karriere erreicht haben. Mit neun Platin-Alben und acht goldenen Singles über eine Zeitspanne von 20 Jahren, gilt LL Cool J als Pionier der Hip-Hop Welt. ASCAP Presidentin und Vorsitzende Marilyn Bergman kommentiert dazu: “LL Cool J is one of the most important figures in the history of hip-hop. He has weathered all the trends in the rap world and is as commercially viable today as he was when he started out in 1985.”
